EDUCATION:

  • 1986:
    Architectural license - State of Texas

  • 1980-1983:
    East Texas State University - Commerce, TX. Took several graduate level courses in a Masters of Business Administration Curriculum.

  • 1973-1979:
    Ohio State University - Columbus, Ohio. Recieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture in June 1979.


  • EXPERIENCE:

    January 2002 - Present:

    Employed with Wharry Engineering as an architect. Responsibilities include production, design, and construction administration of several historical renovation projects.

    July 1997 - January 2002:

    Employed with the United States Postal Service - Dallas Facilities Office as a Project Manager. Responsibilities include management of 50-60 projects in various stages. Extensive experience in programming, funding, designing, bidding, and building facilities. Approximately $60 Million in construction.

    November 1994 - January 1997:

    Self employed as an architect. Projects included design and construction of three Post Offices through term postal contracts. Duties included design, production, specifications, and construction administration.

    September 1992 - November 1994:

    Employed as an architect with Dcikson/Wells Architects. Responsibilities included management of postal projects under an existing term contract. Projects included design and construction administration for 75-85 architectural barrier projects, 20-30 new lease construction projects, one new construction owned project and 10-12 renovation and alteration projects. Left voluntarily to start architecture firm.

    January 1989 - September 1992:

    Employed as a contract architect with the United States Postal Service - Dallas FSO. Outstanding projects included renovation of four district court rooms in Tulsa, OK MPO, completion of 20 or more n ew construction owned buildings and maintenance of small standard building plans. Construction totals $85 million during this period. Termination was due to reorganization.

    January 1988 - January 1989:

    Employed as a contract architect with Bernard Johnson Architects. Responsibilities were design and production of several industrial projects for clients that included DFW Airport, Texas Instruments, Oscar Meyer and City of Dallas. Left voluntarily.

    January 1987 - January 1988:

    Employed as a contract architect with Dallas FSO with responsibilities similar to present position.

    April 1985 - December 1986:

    Employed as an intern architect with Pelham Design Group. Responsibilities included design, production, and construction administration for 4-5 office buildings and apartments.

    June 1979 - April 1985:

    Employed as an intern architect. Job duties included production management of several projects of various sizes.
